On Free Will
Maybe even God is clueless about the future. He/She is just AWARE or AWAKE to the fact that everything that happens, happens. No inherent reason or meaning.
After careful observation of the world and within my soul, I have come to this conclusion very gradually over a period of, I guess, two-three years that there indeed is NO free will.
No free will at the level of the mind.
And maybe no free will at the level of divine too.
Maybe even God is clueless about the future.
He/She is just AWARE or AWAKE to the fact that everything that happens, happens.
Just like seeing and hearing happens
When you see a sunrise or a river do ‘you’ use effort to see?
When you hear a lion roar do ’you’ force or will yourself to listen?
It happens automatically, right?
Similar is the case with thoughts. They arise of their own accord and passes away. It’s not under our control.
But still, you might say they could still have inherent reason or meaning, right?
Well, i say no thought has any inherent reason or meaning. Why?
Take the example of water. Does water have inherent taste, smell, or shape?
No.
Similarly, it’s the monkey-meaning-making-mind that colours thoughts with its own set of beliefs and prejudices and preconceptions. You can compare the brain or mind with a glass container or a flavoring substance that gives water shape or taste respectively.
You don’t need to read books like Determined by Dr. Sapolsky or Free will by Dr. Harris or others to come to this conclusion.
Observe within yourself and ye shall find out :)
